  the watchtower's many legal problems and the jws' use of carts in their preaching work, reminded me of a scene and dialog from the film patton.. in a scene where patton is viewing a battle site the morning after, he says to an aide about the nazis: “you know how i know that they're finished out there?

  in my dreams i saw the carts.

  they kept buzzing around in my head and i couldn't figure out why.

  i already have a friend who is trying to tell me that my mental health is causing my disillusionment with the jehovah’s witnesses.

  funny that a mental health therapist has told me my mental health issues are caused by being a jehovah’s witness.

  i’m still not going back.

  Actually--this is something i have suggested on here a few times. Ask the elders for a loan to get you through a difficult time--Big gas and Electricity bill ?--a few ££ hundred would really help. Stress its just a loan....

  jehovah's witnesses believe it is unfair that the state only investigated their handling of abuse cases, and not other religious organizations.jehovah's witnesses have sued the dutch state for discrimination, the national government told trouw.

  the reason: only their handling of sexual abuse has been scrutinized by the government, while other religious groups remained unaffected.

  they find the fact that only they were the 'target' unfounded and therefore discriminatory.. the fact that a religious organization is suing the state is 'fairly unique', says special professor of law and religion paul van sasse van ijsselt.

  yes, i know he's a rehensible human being who got served a healthy dose of karma, or, if you like, divine judgement.

  perverted pamela lonergan, who went on to work in childcare settings and as a carer in the community, admitted four counts of defilement of a child under the age of 17.. the offences occurred at locations in kerry and cork in 2008 and 2009.. appearing before cork circuit court earlier this month, lonergan of treanmanagh, glenbeigh, co kerry, received a one year jail sentence for the offences.. speaking afterwards, one local said the community had been stunned to learn of lonergan’s abuse.. he said another neighbour had met lonergan on the road the week before the trial and she had told him she was moving up to cork for a while.. “ obviously she thought her name wasn’t going to be disclosed in the media,” he said.. “if the victim hadn’t waived his anonymity to allow this happen, she’ have come back here when she got out and we’d have been none the wiser.”.

  a long, long time ago, when i was young, i became a 'special' pioneer.

  it meant that i had to spend 150 hours a month, and i received a small allowance.

  i was then assigned to a small country congregation, in western nsw (australia).
